Levies on your bank account can wreak havoc on your finances.
Has your tax debt caused the IRS or State to file a levy on your bank account, leaving you unable to pay your bills, your rent or mortgage, your car payment or to feed your family? Contact us immediately- we only have 21 days to stop the levy with a bank levy release.
A bank account levy or seizure of your assets is the ultimate action in tax collection efforts. The IRS or State sends a Notice of Levy to the financial institution informing them that you owe taxes. Your bank is required to freeze the money in your account(s) as of that day. You are then denied access any of those funds. The bank must hold the money for 21 days. At the end of that period, the bank must remit the funds to the government unless the levy is released.
This 21 day period allows us time to negotiate with the IRS or State to release the funds from levy. After the 21 day period, the bank sends the money to the government and it is gone! There is nothing we can do at that point unless you overpaid the taxes.
